Questions about privacy, printing and IRIS uploads.
These answers explain the intended software workflow and the separate assisted filing service.
Do I send my spreadsheet or CSV file to ERICH Incorporated?
No. The normal software workflow keeps the source file on your computer. Do not email files containing Social Security numbers. You upload the final CSV files directly to the IRS IRIS portal.
Can the software import both CSV and Excel files?
Yes. Complete the appropriate CSV or Excel layout, import it into the software and review the validation report.
What happens when the software finds an error?
Clear the imported data, correct the original CSV or Excel file and import it again. Repeat until the report shows no errors.
How are recipient copies printed?
Print to paper or PDF. Recipient SSNs are masked, with the mailing address on one side and Copy B plus instructions on the reverse.
How does the 250-record splitting work?
The software creates as many CSV upload files as needed, with no more than 250 records in each file. For example, 1,000 recipients create four files.
Can I upload more than one CSV file to IRIS?
Yes. You may upload multiple files. Follow the current portal instructions because the IRS may separately limit the number of forms included in one final submission action.
What do I need to upload with my own account?
You generally need individual ID.me access and an approved five-digit IRIS TCC for the business.
What is the $399 assisted e-file service?
It is a separate scheduled Google Meet for customers whose files are ready but who do not have timely IRIS access. ERICH signs in using authorized transmitter access, guides the upload, signs out and forwards the IRS results when available.
Does ERICH share its IRIS credentials during the meeting?
No. Login credentials and authentication codes are never disclosed or shared.
Is IRS acceptance guaranteed?
No. The software performs pre-upload checks, but the IRS makes the final acceptance decision.
