Use your own IRS access

Get an ID.me account and a five-digit IRIS TCC.

Customers who want to upload their own CSV files need individual ID.me identity verification and an approved IRIS Transmitter Control Code for the business.

1

Create or use your ID.me account

Each authorized user listed on an IRIS TCC application needs an individual IRS/ID.me account. Do not share a login.

2

Apply for an IRIS TCC

Choose the appropriate role for your organization. An issuer files for its own business; a transmitter can file for its business and others.

3

Sign in to the Taxpayer Portal

After the TCC is assigned, use the IRIS Taxpayer Portal to upload the CSV files created by 1099ERICH.

Plan ahead: IRS processing and suitability review can take time. Apply before the filing deadline rather than waiting until the files are ready.
